The MathMagic Sandbox – 8’ teaches children about grids and coordinates while sending them on an exciting treasure hunt. This square sandbox has a numbered X and Y axis which can be used to map out the sandbox on a grid. ‘Treasures’ or ‘fossils’ can be buried for students to find at any given coordinates. Pieces of string or simple lines drawn in the sand can make the grid easier to see. Math puzzles can be used to make those coordinates appropriately challenging to find for kids of any age group.
